Who's Getting Unwired with
Wi-Fi?
More and more businesses and consumers are adopting wireless networking. According to industry analyst firm Jupiter Research, 57 percent of U.S. companies currently use Wi-Fi networks and another 22 percent are planning to use them in the next 12 months. Small businesses are leading the charge: 83 percent of businesses with less than $10 million in revenue are with either using or planning to use Wi-Fi networks in the next year. Larger companies with more than $100 million in revenue are slightly behind with 71 percent.
This is great news for lovers of convenience, but the truth of the matter is, wireless networks can be challenging to implement for non-technical people. Sure you save the hassle of poking holes in your walls and running cables all over your house or place of business. But ensuring that you can get wireless reception wherever you need it, or getting it to work with your DSL or cable modem, or securing your wireless network against strangers can be a daunting task.
That's where we come in. In a recent installation, we got a system up and running that a homeowner had struggled with for 6 months. It only took us an hour.
